B. Tiered Mode (Volume & Policy Based)

Logic: Fully configurable tiers based on ink coverage percentage.

• Customizable Tiers: Users can define specific ranges (e.g., "0-5% coverage = ₱5.00", "5-20% coverage = ₱10.00").
• Price Capping: Optional "Price Cap" feature prevents prices from exceeding a maximum limit per page, regardless of coverage (e.g., Max ₱20.00 for full-page photos).

C. Coverage Mode (Cost-Plus Profitability)

Logic: Calculates the exact production cost and adds a guaranteed profit margin.

  • Ink Cost: derived from Bottle Price / Volume (ml) / Page Yield.
  • Paper Cost: Specific cost per sheet type (A4/Short/Long).
  • Electricity: Power consumption (Watts) × Print Time (Seconds) × Electricity Rate (₱/kWh).
  • Waste Factor: Multiplier (e.g., 1.1x) to account for cleaning cycles and ink priming.
• Defaults: Pre-configured for standard Ink Tank printers (e.g., Epson L120), but fully adjustable.

Format Support

PrintEase handles multi-format inputs seamlessly via a unified processing pipeline:

• Images: Direct analysis of JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF.
• PDF: High-speed conversion using poppler (multi-threaded, 4 workers).
• DOCX / DOC:
  • Primary Method: Uses Microsoft Word automation (docx2pdf) for perfect rendering.
  • Fallback: Uses LibreOffice (headless mode) if Word is unavailable.

Intelligent Detection Algorithms

Paper Size Detection: Analyzes the aspect ratio of the input image/document to automatically match standard paper sizes:

Pixel-Level Analysis:

• Performance: Downscales large images to 400px width for instant results without losing commercial accuracy.
